Lithology and Thickness
Comprises thick sandstone and conglomerate with rare anhydrite, clay, and sandy limestone beds. More silty beds and an increasing number of limestone and marl beds occur towards the NE. 100-150m thick at type section.

Lower contact
Regionally, the schematic strat column indicates the next older unit as Euphrates Fm with an unconformity. In Kuwait it is Dammam Fm

Regionally, the schematic strat column indicates the next younger unit as Jeribe Fm with an unconformity. In Kuwait it is Lower Fars Fm
